High School Programs

The Introductory Wall and Ceiling Installer program provides students a head start on their post-secondary apprenticeship training through the BCWCA Trades Training program. The course gives students an introduction to wall and ceiling installation, drywall finishing and plastering and gives those who continue on and join Trades Training credit towards the apprenticeship program of their choice.

The BCWCA is committed to raising awareness about the great careers available in the wall and ceiling industry. Construction forecasts indicate a 50% employment growth in the wall and ceiling industry which will provide tremendous opportunities for young men and women to have exciting and challenging professions.

By providing secdondary school students with the ability to take our course we can help students reach their education and career goals more quickly.

With the information, support and industry knowledge of the BCWCA along with support from the ITA (Industry Training Authority) and ACE IT funding, schools can now easily and effectively expand their trade curriculum for their students.
